Leaning in on the Regional Housing Crisis

Attainable housing is at its lowest levels across our region and Adams County should continue to lean in on this issue and find innovative ways to bring more housing solutions to our communities. I’ve heard from parents whose children have moved out of state because they couldn’t afford to build a life in the communities they were raised in. I’ve heard from seniors who would like to downsize but have no options they can afford. Housing will continue to be one of our greatest challenges moving forward and you can count on me to continue to fight for more housing options for our families.

Smart Growth for the Next Generation

Adams County is poised to see tremendous growth over the next decade. Whether that is adding new homes or businesses to our community, ensuring smart growth is a priority. My hope is that Adams County continues to be a place where great minds come to grow their business and working-class families can thrive. The economic opportunities of our county are vast but we must balance that with investments in infrastructure and water management.

Healthy and Vibrant Future

As a public health professional, I am so excited to support the work of the new Adams County Public Health Department. After I served as Co-Chair of the Tri-County Health Department Board of Health, I realized that the health disparities experienced in our community need a different approach. We now have the opportunity to build deep connections with the community, serve the diversity of our residents, and prioritize the health initiatives that matter most to Adams County. Whether that is work around diabetes, asthma, reproductive health, or air quality, Adams County is already setting the pace to be one of the top public health agencies in the nation.
